How we use cookies

MasterFix’s websites and online services, including our portal, may use ‘cookies’. Cookies enable your experience to be personalised on our sites, tell us which parts of our websites people have visited, help us measure the effectiveness of ads and web searches, and give us insights into user behaviour so we can improve our communications and products.

If you want to disable cookies in your web browser or digital device, go to the preferences/settings section to find the privacy panel. From there you can choose to block cookies.

Because cookies are used throughout our websites, disabling them may prevent you from using certain parts of the sites.

There are three ways we use cookies our websites and other online services:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – These cookies are essential to enable you to browse around our websites and use their features. Without these cookies, services like shopping baskets and e-billing cannot be provided.
  • Performance cookies – These cookies collect information about how you use our websites — for instance, which pages you go to most. This data may be used to help optimize our websites and make them easier for you to navigate. These cookies are also used to let affiliates know if you came to one of our websites from an affiliate and if your visit resulted in the use or purchase of a product or service from us, including details of the product or service purchased. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies you. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
  • Functionality cookies – These cookies allow our websites to remember choices you make while browsing. For instance, we may store your geographic location in a cookie to ensure that we show you our website localised for your area. We may also remember preferences such as text size, fonts, and other customizable site elements. They may also be used to keep track of what featured products or videos have been viewed to avoid repetition. The information these cookies collect will not personally identify you, and they cannot track your browsing activity on non-Apple websites.

How we collect personal information

We collect personal information about individuals in a variety of ways. For example, we may obtain the information from the individual or from persons acting on the individual’s behalf. When it is possible and practical we will collect the information direct from the individual. When it is not practical or reasonable to do so we will collect the information from a third party. The third party could be an authorised representative (such as a real estate agent or property manager), a referee, an employer or a government body. An entity included in the definition of we can disclose personal information to any other entity included in the definition of we and those other entities can collect it.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that an individual’s personal information which we hold is protected from misuse, interference or loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We do this by having physical, electronic and procedural safeguards which protect the personal information we hold. For example, the personal information is stored in secure office premises or in secure archiving facilities and logins and passwords are required to access electronic databases. Our staff are required to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and access to personal information is restricted to persons who require access to perform their duties.

The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information

  • To meet our legal and regulatory requirements
